What is a conlang (constructed language)?
A conlang is a language that is artificially created rather than occurring naturally. Many conlangs are created for artistic use, particularly in sci-fi and fantasy media. Chances are if you’re interested in these genres, you’ve already heard or read some conlangs! Klingon, Sindarin, and Dothraki are well-known conlangs in popular books, TV series, and movies.
Using a conlang can make your characters’ world seem a little closer to reality. It enriches your story, and your fans might even attempt to learn it!
